Antica
Sudtipos · Alejandro Paul
serifLatin (wedge-serif) display serifitalic

A sharp triangular-serif Latin face pushed across eight weights, from thin to black, with true italics.
About
Nineteenth-century Latin types traditionally came in a single weight, so Antica extends the wedge-serif form across a full range from thin to black, adding swashes, small caps and stylistic alternates the originals never had. The foundry aims it at stylised labels and formal editorial work alike.
Classification
Sharp triangular serifs place it in the nineteenth-century Latin/wedge-serif tradition rather than a bracketed old-style or transitional serif.
