About

Abelina reworks chancery and italic calligraphic models into a typeface, keeping the pattern-like rhythm of pointed-brush lettering. It began as a university typography project before Guillermo Vizzari redeveloped it into the fuller "Abelina Pro" with Sudtipos, adding over a thousand glyphs of alternates, ligatures and initials.

Classification

Built on chancery and italic calligraphic models executed with a pointed brush, giving it the joined, gestural structure typical of a connecting script.
