Designed by Linda Hintz for her own studio use, Parat prioritises even rhythm over running-text comfort, with each letterform fitted to a consistent advance width. The weight range extends well beyond the weights she uses daily, from Hairline to Black, and the design takes on a more distinctive character as weight increases. Originally kept in-house, it is now available on request and continues to grow as new use cases demand extensions.
Classification
A monospaced typeface where letterforms are drawn to occupy equal horizontal space for rhythmic consistency. The weight range from Hairline to Black, with notable design character emerging at heavier weights, is characteristic of a geometric mono approach.
