Oscilus
Studio Buchanan · Jonny Gibson · 2020

A single-weight condensed display face by Jonny Gibson built around an exaggerated wave pattern applied consistently across every glyph.
About
Designed in 2020, Oscilus pairs a condensed skeleton with a deliberately erratic, wave-like distortion that renders it near-illegible at length. The effect is intentional and consistent: each glyph follows the same wavy rhythm, giving the chaos a visual logic. Best suited to short bursts of text where disruption is the point.
Classification
An intentionally distorted condensed display face with exaggerated wave-like curves applied uniformly across all glyphs, placing it firmly in the display category with no functional text use.
