Girasol
Spoviero Type · Max Sproviero

A decorative upright script in three layerable styles – Regular, Shade and Shine – with copperplate roots, ball terminals and a wealth of alternates, swashes and ornaments.
About
Girasol began with pencil sketches by the designer's mother, Susana, and was later completed as a personal tribute to her. The three styles – Regular, Shade and Shine – are designed to be used independently or layered for dimensional effects. Extensive OpenType features include stylistic alternates, swashes, titling capitals, discretionary ligatures and ornaments, giving it considerable versatility for packaging, greeting cards and book covers.
Classification
An upright decorative script with copperplate influence, swirly ball terminals and a handmade quality. Its non-slanted letterforms and connected strokes place it firmly in the upright script tradition rather than calligraphic or brush script categories.
