Kronos
Sogari Design · Enrico Sogari

A forthcoming display typeface designed as a tribute to Marcello Gandini, the Italian automotive designer known for his angular, geometric forms and iconic work at Gruppo Bertone.
About
Kronos draws inspiration from Gandini's signature geometric vocabulary, particularly his recurring use of the hexagon, as seen across his work for Alfa Romeo, Lamborghini, Lancia and Maserati. The typeface is conceived as a design homage rather than a functional text family, channelling the raw, angular elegance of mid-twentieth-century Italian automotive design. At the time of writing, Kronos has not yet been released and is available only for pre-launch notification.
Classification
Described as a tribute to Italian automotive design and the geometric vocabulary of Marcello Gandini, suggesting a display typeface with geometric, angular characteristics rather than a text typeface.
