About
Dirin is built on the angular flowing forms of the Piramouz script, which Shahab Siavash connects to the historical roots of Kufic calligraphy via Pahlavi writing traditions of the Sasanian period. Rather than a straight revival, the design uses a three-layer colour system – navy blue as the base, with gold and green acting as ornamental accents – to introduce texture and unpredictability into the letterforms. The green decorative layer in particular is generated through a deliberately improvised process, giving the overall composition a quality of controlled randomness.
