Seraphs specimen from Show Me Fonts

A variable font family by Bernd Volmer spanning six distinct styles, from humanist sans to tuscan and calligraphic, across five weights for a total of 30 named styles.

About

Released in 2019 and still in active development, Seraphs uses variable font technology to interpolate between a humanist sans, a curved serif, a slab, a super-sharp wedge serif, a tuscan and a calligraphic style. The five weights from Light to Bold yield 30 discrete styles, with the variable axes allowing countless intermediate positions. Its breadth makes it an unusual proposition for designers wanting tonal variety within a single typeface system.

Classification

A variable font spanning humanist sans, curved serif, wedge serif, tuscan and calligraphic styles within a single interpolatable space; the range of styles and the playful tuscan and calligraphic extremes place it firmly in the display category despite its text-capable weights.
