Ostende Gothic specimen from Sergej Lebedev

A seven-weight geometric sans-serif with sharp corners and 500-glyph coverage, available as both static and variable font files.

About

Ostende Gothic pairs clean, precise letterforms with sharply angled corners that give it a distinctive edge over more neutral geometric sans-serifs. The family spans seven weights from Thin to Bold, each containing 500 glyphs with broad Latin-based language support and several OpenType features suited to professional micro-typography. It is named after the Belgian coastal town of Ostend, and is offered as desktop, variable and web licences.

Classification

A geometric sans-serif with sharp, angular corners that give it a distinctly modern character, sitting closer to the geometric tradition than humanist or grotesque sans-serifs.
