The Luxx specimen from Resistenza Type

A seven-style art deco display family rooted in 1930s Italian advertising lettering, offered across clean, distressed, multiline and outline variants.

About

The Luxx takes its cue from the bold, geometric letterforms found on Italian art deco posters and advertising of the 1930s. First drawn in 2010 and redesigned in 2013, the family spans seven stylistic variants: Medium, Bold, Rough, Vintage, Multiline, Multiline Medium and Outline. It is built for large-scale use – poster headlines, luxury packaging, retro-inflected branding – and has little practical application at text sizes.

Classification

Display typeface rooted in the geometric letterforms of Italian art deco advertising and poster work from the 1930s. Seven stylistic variants layer distress, texture, open outline and multiline effects over the core design. Conceived entirely for headline and large-scale print use; not suitable for body text. No italics or condensed cuts.
