Squadra specimen from Resistenza Type

A squared geometric sans-serif spanning nine weights with matching italics, drawing on Eurostile's mid-century modernist blueprint and adapting it for contemporary branding and editorial work.

About

Squadra takes its cues from Eurostile – the squared-terminal sans designed by Aldo Novarese and Alessandro Butti – reinterpreting that geometric rigour for present-day typographic demands. Designers Giuseppe Salerno and Paco González extend the family across nine weights from Thin to Black, each paired with a matching italic, giving it the range for sustained editorial and identity work. A variable font ships alongside the 18 static styles, spanning both roman and italic axes.

Classification

Squared geometric sans-serif drawing directly from Eurostile's mid-century modernist lineage. Consistent squared terminals, low stroke contrast, uniform letterform construction, and a strong technical character. Sits comfortably in the geometric sans tradition alongside faces like Eurostile and Titillium.
