Nostalgia
Resistenza Type · Giuseppe Salerno, Paco González · 2020

A 1970s-inspired display serif with soft rounded terminals, an extended swash and alternate set, and two companion decorative fonts for layered vintage compositions.
About
Nostalgia is a display serif designed by Giuseppe Salerno and Paco González of Resistenza, released in April 2020. It takes 1970s letterform conventions as its starting point, applying rounded, softened terminals to create a warm, nostalgic character suited to headlines, logos and wedding stationery. The three-font family adds an Effect overlay for luminous layering and a Flowers dingbat set for ornamental flourishes, extending the visual vocabulary of the package beyond the base typeface.
Classification
Serif in construction but firmly display in application – rounded, softened terminals and a heavy swash/alternate set make it unsuitable for body text. The three-font package comprises one display typeface (Regular) plus two decorative companions: Effect (a layering/luminous overlay font) and Flowers (a dingbat ornament set). Draws from 1970s graphic design and retro lettering conventions.
