Norman Stencil specimen from Resistenza Type

The stencil counterpart to Resistenza's popular Norman serif: a narrow, high-contrast display family with interrupted strokes, available in four weights each with a matching italic.

About

Released in April 2021, Norman Stencil adapts the Norman family's condensed, high-contrast proportions into stencil form, breaking strokes at the points where a physical stencil template would need bridges. Four weights run from Regular to Fat, each paired with an italic, giving designers enough range for layered headline and identity work. It suits editorial, packaging and branding contexts where an industrial or utilitarian aesthetic is part of the brief.

Classification

High-contrast condensed stencil serif. Inherits Norman's narrow proportions and vertical stress; interrupted strokes throughout give the characteristic stencil appearance. Reads best at large display sizes. Not suited to text settings.
