Nautica Lines specimen from Resistenza Type

A monolinear calligraphic script in five weight steps, offered in flat-terminal Line and rounded-terminal Noodle variants, drawn from copperplate tradition but executed with rollerball-pen consistency.

About

Nautica Lines strips copperplate calligraphy back to a single-stroke approach, removing all thick-thin contrast for a clean, even line weight throughout. Five numbered weights — from fine to bold — allow designers to match stroke weight to reproduction scale, whether small label copy or large headline use. The Noodle subfamily softens the aesthetic with rounded terminals; the Line subfamily ends flat for a crisper, more restrained look.

Classification

Monolinear script rooted in copperplate calligraphy but rendered without thick-thin contrast, emulating the consistent stroke of a rollerball pen. Comes in two terminal-style subfamilies (Line with flat ends, Noodle with rounded ends) across five numbered weight steps. Display-only — not intended for body text.
