Mentha specimen from Resistenza Type

A condensed brush pen script by Giuseppe Salerno and Paco González, with looped terminals, an extensive swash set and two weights optimised for display and packaging work.

About

Mentha is a condensed script built around small brush pen technique, with pressure-and-release strokes producing strong letterforms with distinctive loops at the ends of certain characters. Two weights cover most display needs: Regular for headlines and decorative applications, Medium adding a hairline supplementary stroke for improved legibility when set at smaller sizes. Its condensed proportions and generous swash alternates suit brand identity, packaging and editorial display, but the script nature limits its range beyond those contexts.

Classification

Condensed brush pen script with looped terminals and extensive OpenType swash alternates. Not a calligraphic script in the formal sense — the influence is small brush pen, giving it a slightly informal, contemporary feel with strong upstrokes.
