Dolce Caffe
Resistenza Type · Giuseppe Salerno, Paco González · 2011

An all-caps hand-lettered display face drawn from Berlin chalkboard menus, warm and artisanal in character, suited to café branding and heritage packaging.
About
Dolce Caffe was designed by Giuseppe Salerno and Paco González in 2011, inspired by the hand-written chalkboard menus of Berlin cafés. An uppercase-only display face, it carries an expressive, slightly rough quality that works well at large sizes on signage, packaging and café collateral. The family has expanded with 3D, chalk and multiline sub-families that push its decorative range further, though all variants remain firmly in display territory.
Classification
All-caps hand-lettered display typeface with a chalkboard aesthetic, drawn from Berlin café menu boards. Not a connected script – uppercase-only with expressive, slightly rough chalk-style strokes. Rich OpenType palette: contextual swashes, discretionary ligatures, ornaments, three stylistic sets and titling alternates.
