About
Barnum originated at the Nebiolo foundry in 1910 and became a fixture of Italian print culture through its narrow proportions and ornate floral detailing. For several decades it served as a headline face across major national and local newspapers before falling out of fashion as geometric sans-serifs came to dominate. This digital revival was developed directly from the original lead type drawings, preserving the delicate Belle Époque letterforms in a single Regular weight.
Classification
