TXT101
PSY/OPS Type Foundry · Carolina de Bartolo

A 52-style pattern typeface by Carolina de Bartolo that replaces traditional lorem ipsum with ruled lines, waves and zigzags, doubling as a complete bordering system across four weights.
About
Designed as a digital successor to the hand-drawn pencil marks once used as analog placeholder text, TXT101 provides 52 distinct styles ranging from arches to zigzags, each available in four weights and four orientations. Corner pieces in north, south, east and west orientations are accessible via OpenType stylistic sets, making frame and border construction straightforward in applications such as InDesign and Illustrator. The complete family totals 1,460 glyphs, with aligning baselines on many styles allowing patterns to connect seamlessly across mixed weights and styles.
Classification
A purely decorative pattern and border typeface with no conventional letterforms; each glyph is a ruled line, wave, zigzag or border element designed to simulate placeholder text and create ornamental frames.
