About
Stefan Hattenbach developed Oxtail by taking the concept of a backslanted italic and resolving it into upright forms, embedding the idiosyncratic construction into the roman itself. The resulting six-style family – Medium, Bold and Black each with matching italic – retains the friendly warmth that the process introduces. Each font includes Western and Eastern European characters, ligatures and stylistic alternates.
