A 181-style variable serif with high contrast and sharp letterforms, offered in two subfamilies – a crisp main cut and a softer rounded variant – each spanning nine weights and five widths with slanted styles throughout.
About
The family is split into two distinct subfamilies: Magres, which emphasises sharp cuts and ink-capture details for a precise, high-contrast look, and Magres Soft, which rounds those same forms for a warmer, more approachable tone. Both subfamilies cover nine weights from Thin to Black, five widths from Condensed to Expanded, and matching slanted or italic styles. Unicode PUA support provides access to alternate characters without dedicated OpenType-aware software.
Classification
A high-contrast serif with sharp letterforms, clean cuts and bold stroke contrast, placing it squarely in the modern or didone serif tradition. Two subfamilies – a sharper main cut and a softer rounded variant – expand the range considerably.
