A sign-painted contrasted sans in four widths, with art nouveau legs and a high waist.
About
Sleight is drawn like brush lettering, with two strokes for the thicks and one for the thins, and flat-brush twists that hint at serifs on C, G and S. Its high waist and half-crossbar t come from ATF's Taylor Gothic, and the curling legs of R and K from art nouveau. Four widths and seven weights cover tall posters and wide labels alike.
Classification
Contrasted sans built on sign painters' thick-and-thin brushwork, starting from a memory of ATF's Taylor Gothic (Joseph Phinney, 1897) with art nouveau R and K legs. Four widths (Condensed, Narrow, standard, Expanded) in seven weights from Thin to Heavy, 28 styles, with variable fonts in the complete family.
