About
The design channels the energy of Cuban political and cultural posters, with loose brushwork that gives it an immediacy distinct from calligraphic or formal script faces. Stylistic alternates are included to break repetition and sustain the illusion of genuine hand-lettering across longer settings. A complementary set of ornamental pictures, based on 1888 charcoal sketches from the Shniedewend & Lee Company and painted with the same brush, extends the visual vocabulary of the family.
