Pind-O-Rama specimen from PintassilgoPrints

A hand-lettered display typeface with retro irregularity and an inline variant, drawn from a 1961 Brazilian colonial history book.

About

Inspired by a 1961 book edition on Brazil's colonial background, the typeface takes its name from Pindorama, the Tupi word for Brazil before Portuguese colonisation. Unusual countershapes and deliberate interlocking choices give it a distinctive, slightly uneven quality suited to posters, packaging and album art. Two styles are available: a standard Regular and a decorative Inline cut.

Classification

An irregular, hand-lettered display typeface with retro characteristics, unusual countershapes and interlocking forms. The inline variant and playful irregularity place it firmly in the display category rather than any conventional text classification.
