Horst specimen from PintassilgoPrints

A single-weight display typeface drawn from the etching style of German artist Horst Janssen, designed for eccentric headlines and creative branding.

About

Horst takes its visual cues from the idiosyncratic line work of printmaker Horst Janssen, translating that etched, hand-wrought quality into a Latin display font. Currently available in a single Medium weight, it targets headlines, film titles and video animations where a distinctive, irregular personality is required. OpenType features include discretionary ligatures and stylistic sets.

Classification

An eccentric, hand-influenced display typeface inspired by etching and printmaking. Its highly original character and irregular forms place it firmly in the expressive display category, unsuited to running text.
