A hand-lettered all-caps display face inspired by the eccentric work of Friedensreich Hundertwasser, offered in two cuts that introduce natural variation between letterforms.
About
Each letter in Dunkelbunt comes in two drawn cuts, reducing the mechanical repetition typical of digital type and lending text a handmade spontaneity. The design takes its cues from the organic, anti-rationalist aesthetic of the Austrian artist and architect Hundertwasser, resulting in a typeface suited to branding or editorial work where a quirky, energetic character is required. Two weights, Minor and Regular, make up the family.
Classification
An all-caps hand-lettered display typeface with two cuts per letter to simulate natural variation, firmly in the display category owing to its expressive, illustrative character and spontaneous aesthetic.
