Cuadrifonte specimen from PintassilgoPrints

An all-caps display typeface drawn from the lettering of a 1917 poster attributed to architect and designer Gerrit Rietveld, offered in three handcrafted styles and a companion picture font.

About

The design lifts its forms from what is recorded as Rietveld's only poster, translating the bold, boxy hand-drawn lettering into three stylistic variants: Fill, Line and Medium. A fourth Pics font accompanies the family with illustrations keyed to the same visual character. The result suits posters, packaging and book covers where heavy, geometric hand-lettering is called for.

Classification

An all-caps, bold, boxy hand-drawn typeface derived from early twentieth-century poster lettering. Its decorative nature, multiple stylistic fills and pictorial companion font place it firmly in the display category.
