Sienna
Paulo Goode · Paulo Goode · 2021

A soft serif with 14 styles across seven weights, pairing an unusual mix of soft and sharp forms with extensive OpenType features including small caps, swash alternates and variable font versions.
About
Released in September 2021, Sienna balances rounded softness with sharper structural details to produce a typeface that reads comfortably at text sizes while carrying enough personality for headline and branding work. The family includes 800+ glyphs covering all Latin European languages, with 59 alternates, small caps with matching diacritics and old-style figures as default. Variable font versions allow fine-grained weight control beyond the seven named stops. It was selected as one of Fontspring's Best Fonts of 2021 and appeared in Luc Devroye's Best of 2021 text typeface list.
Classification
A serif with an unusual combination of soft and sharp structural features, designed to function across both text and display sizes. The foundry classifies it explicitly as a 'soft serif', distinguishing it from conventional humanist or transitional categories.
