Quorthon
Paulo Goode · Paulo Goode · 2019

A three-voice blackletter collection released in 2019, spanning five weights per style – Black, Dark and Grey – with modernised capitals and alternate glyphs aimed at branding and logotype work.
About
Each of the three subfamilies takes a distinct approach: Black draws from lettering found on an English marble tomb, with aggressive barbs and spurs suited to forceful branding; Dark retains the barbed quality but introduces more contemporary serifs and a calligraphic character; Grey strips back to clean, straight lines for a minimal, architecturally inflected headline face. All styles include alternate glyphs for added flexibility and contain over 250 glyphs with Western European Latin support.
Classification
A contemporary blackletter collection across three distinct stylistic voices – Black, Dark and Grey – with modern capitals drawn for legibility rather than strict historical fidelity. Retains calligraphic contrast and barbed forms characteristic of the blackletter tradition.
