Banjax Notched
Paulo Goode · Paulo Goode · 2018

A notched variant of Paulo Goode's Banjax, adding precise incisions to the glyphs to create a more energetic display typeface suited to titling, branding and editorial use.
About
Banjax Notched retains the characteristics of the original Banjax – large x-height, short descenders, asymmetrical contrast, angled terminals and squared dots – while introducing distinctive notch incisions that sharpen its personality. The family spans seven weights with matching italics, totalling 14 fonts, and includes small caps, petite caps and a generous glyph count of 1,100. Its dramatic quality makes it well suited to book covers, film posters, magazine headlines and event promotion.
Classification
Classified by the foundry as humanist sans, with distinctive asymmetrical contrast and angled terminals characteristic of humanist grotesques, augmented by precise notch incisions that add an energetic, display-oriented character.
