Hotel captures the upright, even-stroked letterforms of American commercial signpainting at its mid-century peak, where squared terminals and uniform weight gave text strong legibility at distance. The family offers two weights – Regular and Black – under the Hotel and Hotel Black names. Its roots in surviving vernacular lettering give it a grounded, place-specific character rather than the generic retro feel of many revival display faces.
