A 1996 Copperplate Gothic derivative drawn by Alexey Chekulaev at Double Alex Font Studio, available in five styles including an Extended Bold.
About
Vacansia is based on Frederic W. Goudy's 1901 Copperplate Gothic, retaining the flat hairline serifs, near-monolinear strokes and small-caps register typical of that tradition. Five styles span Light through Bold, with an Extended Bold width variant rounding out the family. The face is positioned for poster and decorative applications.
Classification
The specimen shows an all-caps or small-caps serif face with flat, unbracketed serifs and minimal stroke contrast, characteristic of the Copperplate Gothic tradition. Its roots in Goudy's 1901 Copperplate Gothic place it in the glyphic display category, designed for headline and poster use without a lowercase.
