MegaMegaTypeType
A ten-weight contemporary sans serif from Vitaly Kuzmin, covering extended Latin and Cyrillic with a variable version and features such as automatic case-sensitive punctuation and stylistic alternates.
About
PT Root offers strict, laconic letterforms that hold up across text sizes on screen and in print, as well as in interface and signage contexts. Its character set includes extended Latin and extended Cyrillic, fractions, index numbers, three arrow variants, and stylistic alternates including a single-storey 'a', a strikethrough zero, and local variants for Bulgarian and Serbian Cyrillic. A variable font version accompanies the ten static weights, and the family is designed to pair with serif companions such as PT Serif or Scientia.
Classification
A contemporary sans serif with strict, geometric-leaning forms and wide weight range. Neither strictly humanist nor geometric, it sits in a modern workhorse category suited to both text and display use.
