Mobul specimen from ParaType

A single-weight geometric display face built from chamfered rectangular modules, designed by Alexey Chekulaev at Double Alex Font Studio in 2005, derived from the earlier Superfluid and Superlooper designs.

About

Mobul uses an octagonal, modular construction in which corners are systematically clipped to create a mechanical, near-unicase alphabet. The letterforms, visible in the specimen, are bold and heavily geometric with uniform stroke weight and flat terminals. It is positioned as a poster and decorative face suited to futuristic or technical contexts.

Classification

The specimen shows a bold, angular display face with chamfered corners and a unicase construction – letters built from rectangular and octagonal modules with clipped angles, giving a mechanical, futuristic character consistent with the page tags 'Unicase, Futuristic, Technical'.
