A broad-nib calligraphic script with low contrast and wide proportions, designed by Natalia Vasilieva in 1998 and released by ParaType in 2005.
About
Based on freestyle broad-nib pen writing, Liana occupies the space between casual handwriting and formal calligraphy. Its wide proportions and low contrast give it a mild, approachable character suited to packaging, greeting cards and short decorative inscriptions. The design draws from Lainie by Soft Horizonts, reinterpreted with a softer, more feminine sensibility.
Classification
A broad-nib pen script with low contrast and wide proportions, sitting between formal calligraphy and casual handwriting. The fluid letterforms and informal character place it firmly in the calligraphic script category.
