Inspired by the hand-lettered styles of 80s surf culture, Hangtime carries a slightly raked yet upright character that allows compact text-setting without sacrificing visual punch. Its extreme x-height is the defining structural choice, balanced by deliberately shortened upstrokes on some letters and lengthened strokes on others to produce unusually consistent spacing. Two styles, Rad and Extra, make up the family.
