Carol Gothic follows the 19th-century English blackletter tradition, drawing directly from the conventions of Linotype's Old English. The design includes alternates and discretionary ligatures suited to headline, branding and poster use. It was designed by Alexandra Korolkova and Alexander Lubovenko and released by ParaType in 2015.
