A 1954 Soviet newspaper slab serif, originally called Gazetnaya, designed at the Polygraphmash type design bureau by Alexandra Korobkova and Isay Slutsker.

About

Developed at the Polygraphmash type design bureau in 1954, the typeface was conceived for newspaper use and carries the static stroke contrast common to Soviet mid-century slab serifs. Two styles are available: Book and Narrow Book, the latter offering a condensed alternative suited to tight column settings. The design reflects the functional priorities of high-volume print production.
