A two-weight grotesque produced at the Az-Zet graphic bureau between 1990 and 1995, closely modelled on Morris Fuller Benton's News Gothic.
About
Designed by Andrey Andreev at ATRI's Az-Zet graphic bureau, the face draws directly from News Gothic (ATF, 1908), a lighter companion to Franklin Gothic within the early twentieth-century American Type Founders catalogue. Only Book and Bold weights are provided, making it a minimal offering suited to basic editorial applications.
Classification
A grotesque sans-serif modelled on Morris Fuller Benton's News Gothic (ATF, 1908), itself a companion to Franklin Gothic. The design follows the early twentieth-century American gothic tradition with two weights only.
