About
Originally cut at Monotype during Wolpe's time at Fanfare Press, the typeface's defining traits are its slanted stems and baseline, lending it a kinetic quality visible in vintage BOAC posters and Faber & Faber book jackets including Lawrence Durrell's Justine and the Sylvia Plath Ariel. The revival by Toshi Omagari introduces four lighter weights alongside the original dark cut, adds titling small caps, and extends the script coverage to Greek and Cyrillic with suitably energetic letterforms. Faber & Faber adopted the full Wolpe Collection, with Fanfare returning to Justine in F&F's re-release.

An all-cap condensed sans-serif designed exclusively for display use, characterised by slanted stems and baseline that give it a distinctive energy. Its compact horizontal proportions and uppercase-only design place it firmly in the display category rather than general-purpose sans-serif.
