About
Designed by Toshi Omagari as his first script typeface, Tangerine was among the original ten offerings on Google Web Fonts when the service launched in 2009–2010. Its tall ascenders open up generous line spacing and give it a distinctly formal, handwritten quality suited to titles and short-form display text. The design draws on the tradition of Italian chancery scribes, particularly Giovanni Francesco Cresci.
