Tabulamore Script
Omega Type Foundry · 2019

A monospaced connected script that disguises its fixed-width constraints through loose, natural letterforms and automatic small caps for all-caps setting.
About
Designed as a deliberate technical challenge, Tabulamore Script fits characters of radically different widths into a single monospace unit by adopting the generous spacing of a loose casual script, then binding the letters together with connecting strokes. Automatic small caps, inspired by the Architects Casual style, activate when a second capital or numeral is typed, giving all-caps text a typographic but handwritten character. The result reads as a convincingly natural script despite the underlying rigid spacing structure.
Classification
A connected script designed with fixed-width metrics, combining the visual flow of a casual handwritten script with the rigid spacing constraints of a monospaced typeface. The caps feature automatic small caps drawn in an Architects Casual style to support all-caps setting.
