A circular geometric sans-serif with a quietly naive quality, offered free in eight weights plus a variable font, with coverage of 360 languages.

About

Designed by Bastien Sozeau and first released in 2011, Lil Grotesk pairs the circular forms typical of geometric sans-serif design with a slightly unassuming character that keeps it from feeling sterile. Eight weights run from Thin to Black, all available as a variable font. The glyph set extends to 1,040 characters with broad multilingual support, OpenType features including old-style figures, stylistic alternates and circled letters, and the full family is available free of charge.

Classification

Circular geometric sans-serif with a slightly naive character, placing it squarely within the geometric grotesque tradition. The rounded forms and consistent stroke width are characteristic of geometric sans design.
