Justinia
Nasir Udin Studio · Haidi Shabrina, Nasir Udin · 2025

A Jenson-inspired humanist serif with slender strokes and a raised x-height, released in five weights with matching italics and coverage for over 200 Latin-based languages.
About
Drawing on the Venetian old-style tradition of Nicolas Jenson, Justinia refines its source material with lighter stroke contrast and a horizontal 'e' crossbar, lending the design a more delicate character than its historical model. Five weights from thin to bold are accompanied by matching italics, making the family suitable for both display headlines and body text. The 515-glyph set supports Western European, Central and Eastern European, Baltic, Turkish and Romanian orthographies.
Classification
Inspired by Jenson, a fifteenth-century Venetian old-style model, Justinia is a humanist serif with deliberate feminine refinements: slender stroke contrast, a higher x-height and a horizontal crossbar on the 'e' that departs from the inclined bar typical of the Jensonian tradition.
