seriftransitional serifitalic
Neolit specimen from Narrow Type

A 12-style transitional serif with drop terminals, tense curves and an old-style stroke axis — readable in text, sculptural at display sizes.

About

Neolit takes a transitional skeleton and inflects it with old-style Translation contrast — a canted stroke axis that adds movement and a raw, material quality to otherwise polished letterforms. Drop terminals and tense curves bring a contemporary decisiveness. Twelve styles from Regular to ExtraBold each carry a true italic; an extended Latin character set includes circled and squared numerals, fractions, case-sensitive forms and contextual alternates. Performs steadily at text sizes and reveals its sculptural precision at display scales.

Classification

A transitional serif with old-style inflection — Translation contrast (stroke axis angled as in old-style forms) tempers an otherwise transitional structure. Drop terminals, tense curves and a subtly condensed structure add contemporary character. 12 styles from Regular to ExtraBold with true italics. Dual text and display intent.
