A revival of the Merovingian Luxeuil minuscule, with medieval ornaments to match.
About
Luxoviensis is drawn from the scribal hand used at Luxeuil, Chelles and Corbie before Charlemagne standardised everything on Carolingian minuscule. The original was lowercase only, so the capitals here are the designer's invention. It ships with crosses, stars and other ecclesiastical marks alongside a wide accented set.
Classification
A revival of the Luxeuil minuscule written in the monastic scriptoria of seventh-century Gaul. It is a written hand rather than a broken blackletter, so it files under script even though it is used as a display face.
