About
Designed to evoke the visual language of news headlines, the typeface anchors an exhibition identity built around histories of dissent, liberation movements and social media. Typography functions as a structural device, creating entry points across subjects spanning public demonstrations and theatre to mid-century Egypt and the present day. The project was developed by Morcos Key in close collaboration with curator Hadeel El Tayeb.
Classification
A bespoke Arabic typeface created for an exhibition identity, designed to evoke news headlines and serve as typographic entry points to historical and political content. Classified as display due to its purpose-built, editorial nature.
