About
Dehors extends the heritage of Dauphine into a more versatile family, reworking its cartographic letterforms with entirely redrawn spacing and kerning across Regular, Medium and Bold weights, each with a matching italic. A variable font covering the weight and italic axes accompanies the six static styles. Released under the SIL Open Font License, it was originally commissioned for the communication of artist Carolina E. Santo.
Classification
A Latin sans-serif derived from Dauphine (Charles Mazé & Coline Sunier), retaining cartographic origins with restructured proportions and a variable weight axis. The open, humanist letterforms and revised spacing distinguish it from geometric or grotesque models.
