Raster Gothic
Mark Simonson · Mark Simonson · 1986

A retooled version of a 1986 bitmap gothic, kept deliberately aliased for on-screen and Flash-era use where anti-aliasing isn't wanted.
About
Raster Gothic Condensed started life as a bitmap font in 1986, loosely based on Alternate Gothic, and this outline version keeps the jagged, aliased look of the original rather than smoothing it out. It comes in two named sizes, Fourteen and Eighteen, each with Regular and Bold, retooled for more consistent proportions across sizes, with small caps achievable by borrowing capitals from the size below.
Classification
A gothic sans deliberately kept aliased and blocky like its bitmap-font origin, classed sans-serif for its underlying grotesque letter construction.
