About
HWT Konop is an original design Simonson made for the Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum, named after retired Hamilton employee Don Konop. Its bold, geometric gothic letters sit on a square monospaced body, so they can be arranged horizontally or vertically in any orientation, with OpenType stylistic sets to rotate characters 90 or 180 degrees. Three size designs echo the wood type versions, and all of Simonson's royalties from it go to the museum.
Classification
A fixed-width design on a square body so characters read the same in any orientation, which puts it with mono rather than display despite its wood type origins.
