Designed by Minjoo Ham and Mark Frömberg under their studio Hypertype, Hahmlet translates the energy of an unknown mid-century Korean letterer into a fully usable contemporary typeface. Ham developed the Hangeul first, capturing the poster's distinctive angularity and attention-seeking details, before Frömberg extended those characteristics into the Latin design. The result works across print, screen, signage and poster use, and is particularly suited to bilingual Hangeul and Latin typography.
